PhD. Position: Regularization of Inverse Problems
We are offering a PhD. position for a research project in the field of regularization theory of inverse problems at the Industrial Mathematics Institute at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria.
The specific topic of the project deals with the so-called heuristic parameter choice rules for nonlinear Tikhonov
regularization. The PhD candidate is expected to do basic research in the project field and learn, investigate, and contribute (under supervision) to the theory of heuristic parameter choice rules and apply the methodology to several practical problems.
Requirements: Qualification for PhD. Study (e.g. Masters degree in Mathematics), knowledge of the regularization theory of inverse problems, programming skills (e.g. in Matlab).
The position is funded for 3 years. Payment: 36.660 Euro /year, gross
