Post-Doc Stochastic Geometric Mechanics, ULisbon

The Group of Mathematical Physics of the University of Lisbon, Portugal

(http://gfm.cii.fc.ul.pt/en) invites applications for a post-doctoral research position in Mathematics within the scope of the Portuguese Science Foundation project From Stochastic Geometric Mechanics to Mass Transportation Problems (Ref.: PTDC/MAT- ST A/0975/2014).

The position is for one year, starting at the beginning of 2018. The salary is 18 000 euros/yr (tax free), and there are no teaching duties associated with the position.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Mathematics (or equivalent) obtained prefer- ably after January 1, 2014. They must show very strong research promise in (at least) one of the relevant topics for the project:

a. Geometric methods in Stochastic Analysis; b. Stochastic Geometric Mechanics; c. Optimal Transport.
