Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Mathematics (Ref.: 493741), to commence on July 1, 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter for one year, with the possibility of renewal for up to two years subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree, with research interests and expertise related to Algebra, Analysis, Geometry, Number Theory, Lie Theory and Representation Theory, Machine Learning, Optimization, Operations Research, Information Theory, Stochastic and Partial Differential Equations, and Computational and Financial Mathematics. Those who have obtained their Ph.D. degrees within the last 6 years are preferred. Applicants who are in the process of completing a Ph.D. degree will also be considered. The appointee will carry out academic activities and teaching duties as assigned by the Head of Department of Mathematics.
