Postdoc - Dynamical Systems
The Institute Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences announces an open call for a full-time temporary research post-doc* position, financed by the National Science Center (Poland) Sonata Bis project "The interplay of ergodic theory and topological dynamics" (principal investigator: Dr. Yonatan Gutman) for a period of 2 years at its branch in Warsaw, Poland, to start in 2018 (exact date to be agree upon), for candidates holding a PhD in Mathematics and having experience in the field of (measure-theoretical and /or topological) dynamical systems.
The position is without teaching duties.
The monthly salary will be 7000 PLN gross. There will be additional funding for covering the costs of trips to national and international conferences.
A candidate from abroad will receive an additional 640 PLN per month towards accommodation costs and will be eligible twice for once-a-year financial support toward a trip to/from his or her home country, of up to 500 USD for European countries and up to 1000 USD otherwise.
It is expected that the candidate will collaborate with the principal investigator and actively conduct research in topics related to the project (details are available by e-mail from the principal investigator).

* The post-doc position is available for candidates who received their PhD not
earlier than 7 years before the start of employment (2018). Exceptions to this
rule may be allowed due to giving birth (18 months for every born or adopted
child for female candidates), parental or sickness leaves.
