Research Fellow Position (Postdoctoral Scholar)

Position Title: Research Fellow (Postdoctoral Scholar)
Duties and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a motivated applicant with mathematical/statistical backgrounds to join an active research team led by Dr. Zhigang Yao. The work will involve developing novel statistical methods for the inverse problem in MEG, assisted by the multimodal imaging scheme including EEG, fMRI, etc., and leading statistical analysis for understanding the changes in source localization during task and task-free conditions in the developing and aging brain as well as neuropsychiatric disorders. The postdoc will also have opportunities to collaborate with other researchers from Duke-NUS medical school, Department of Mathematics, and Department of Statistics and Applied Probability at NUS. Research topics fall within the scope of the specialization in "Inverse problem with Applications to MEG (Magnetoencephalography)". Indicatively, these may include regularization methods, machine learning, and statistical inverse problems with applications to brain imaging. Programming experience in statistical program R and scripting languages such as Matlab is required. Experience in parallel computing is a strong plus.
