Tenure Track Positions in Mathematics and Statistics
The Department of Mathematical Sciences within the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at The University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level in the following general areas:
Mathematics – with a preference for the fields of Algebra, Algebraic Geometry, Combinatorics, Computational Mathematics, Differential Geometry, PDEs, Mathematical Biology and mathematical aspects of Information Theory and Signal Processing, and other areas complementary to the existing strengths in the department.
Statistics – all areas of statistics will be considered.
The University of Texas at Dallas is a rapidly growing university with ambitious plans to advance in education and research. The Department of Mathematical Sciences has active research programs in several areas of Mathematics and Statistics. It has 29 tenured/tenure-track faculty, and offers the following degree programs: BA, BS, MS and PhD in Mathematics, BS in Data Science, MS and PhD in Statistics, BS and MS in Actuarial Science, MS in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, and a Graduate Certificate in Data Science.
Candidates should have a PhD in Mathematics, Statistics or a closely related field, and a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching.
Evaluation of applications will begin on January 15, 2019, and will continue until the positions are filled. A minimum of three letters of reference is required.
