Two associate professorships in pure or applied mathematics

The Department of Mathematics, Politecnico di Milano, Italy (www.mate.polimi.it), in an effort at internationalization, is seeking expressions of interest for Associate Professor (permanent) to be covered in 2018 by outstanding foreign scientists.
Candidates in all areas of pure and applied mathematics are invited to apply.
Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the activities of the Department, in particular by doing:

Research, by contributing/defining research projects, attracting funding, and contributing to dissemination of results through top-level publications.

Teaching, by offering courses for approximately 120 hrs per year (this translates to 2 courses per year) to students at the undergraduate and graduate level.

Management, by serving in committees and boards of our University.

Candidates must have obtained the Italian national habilitation (ASN) for associate professor (see http://abilitazione.miur.it/public/index.php for applications), or must already hold a certified academic position equivalent to Associate professor.

Salary is conformal to national standards, starting from a minimum of (gros) Euro 51000/yr.
