IMA celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2014

The Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, the UK’s learned and professional society for mathematics and its applications, will celebrate its 50th Anniversary in 2014. A programme of celebratory events – including a 50th ‘birthday party’ at the Royal Society, London, on the afternoon and evening of 14 May 2014, and a ‘Festival of Mathematics’ beginning on the evening of 2 July 2014 and continuing during 3 and 4 July 2014 at the University of Manchester, England – are planned to mark this significant milestone.
