The Faculty of Physical Sciences, in the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences at the University of Iceland, seeks applicants to fill a tenure-track position of assistant professor in the area of mathematical analysis. Candidates should be active in research in some field of mathematical analysis, pure or applied, e.g. real analysis, complex analysis, functional analysis, PDE's, Fourier analysis. The successful applicant is expected to teach courses in various branches of mathematical analysis to undergraduate students in mathematics and engineering, and to take part in the development and running of a graduate program.
Applicants should have a doctoral degree in Mathematics. This is a tenure track position with an initial appointment of five years. Appointments to the University of Iceland do take into account the Equal Rights Policy of the University of Iceland.
