Workshop on "Topological dynamics in physics and biology"

Monday, July 11, 2011 - 8:00pm to Tuesday, July 12, 2011 - 8:00pm

With this workshop we shall investigate the role of topological properties of knot theory in some physical and biological systems, by exploring how topological invariants influence and constrain the dynamics and the energy minimization of physical systems, from optics to polymer physics, from magnetic and nematic systems to soap films. This event is part of the intensive research period "Knots and Applications".
