7th International Young Researchers Workshop on Geometry, Mechanics and Control.
The 7th International Young Researchers Workshop on Geometry, Mechanics and Control intends to bring together young researchers working in geometric mechanics and control theory and to offer a platform to present the results of their research to an international audience. The main idea of this conference is to offer 3 courses of 4 hours which serve as an introduction to different topics related to geometric structures in mechanics and control theory. The courses will be at a PhD level. Along with the courses, there will be short talks (30 minutes) by the participants willing to present their results. Moreover, there will be a poster session. Attendance is, of course, open to anyone, but in particular young researchers (PhD-students, recent PhD's) are allowed to deliver a talk or present a poster at this meeting.
Courses:
Sina Ober-Blöbaum (University of Paderborn, Germany): Discrete mechanics and optimal control theory.
Joris Vankerschaver (Imperial College London, UK): The geometry of the diffeomorphism group: applications in fluid dynamics and imaging.
San Vu Ngoc (Université de Rennes 1, France): Integrable systems.
