New Trends in Model Coupling. Theory, Numerics and Applications

Coupling problems are of increasing interest in Applied Mathematics. The goal of this workshop is to provide a large overview of the most recent results on the coupling of multiscale phenomena, mainly for applications in fluid flows of different kinds (multiphase flows, porous media, reactive transport, granular flows, traffic flows, plasma...) but also in materials science.

The topics addressed throughout this workshop are: flows in heterogeneous media, kinetic/fluid models, multiscale modeling... and the approaches span from a theoretical mathematical analysis to the derivation of efficient numerical tools for some particular applications.
