SMF 2016 - Premier Congrès National de la Société Mathématique de France

Monday, June 6, 2016 (All day) to Friday, June 10, 2016 (All day)

The first national congress of the French Mathematical Society will take place in June 2016 (Monday morning June 6 to Friday evening June 10) at the University François-Rabelais of Tours. It is organized by the Fédération Denis Poisson Orléans-Tours.

SMF 2016 aims at giving over a week a panorama of mathematics conducted in France, from the most fundamental aspects to the most applied ones, and thus demonstrating both its strong dynamism and scientific unity. The program will consist in plenary talks, delivered by well recognized experts, and parallel sessions, with an important participation of junior mathematicians. Wednesday afternoon June 8, 2016 will be devoted to events less specialized and meant for a general audience.
