2nd Spring School "Analytical and Numerical Aspects of Evolution Equations"

Saturday, March 27, 2010 - 6:00pm to Thursday, April 1, 2010 - 5:59pm

First Announcement

We would like to draw your attention to the following spring school that aims to bring together
students and younger researchers in the fields of analysis and numerical analysis of partial
differential equations.

2nd Spring School
Analytical and Numerical Aspects of Evolution Equations
March 28 - April 1, 2010 at TU Berlin

Organised by Etienne Emmrich (Bielefeld) and Petra Wittbold (Berlin)

Lectures:

* Boris Andreianov (Besancon)
Finite volume schemes for nonlinear diffusion problems and some mathematical tools for their
analysis

* Eskil Hansen (Lund)
Operator splitting for abstract evolution equations

* Sylvie Monniaux (Marseille)
Maximal regularity and applications to partial differential equations

* Francois Murat (Paris)
tba

* Juan Luis Vazquez (Madrid)
Recent advances in nonlinear diffusion

Participants may present their results in short communications or in a poster session.
