CATIMAG08: Computational Algebraic Topology in the context of the Image
At present, the problem for adapting topology based methods to discrete data is an active field of research. In particular, the set of topological properties which can be computed in the setting of digital imagery is relatively small. The main aim of this workshop is to progress in the development of a theoretical and practical algebraic framework for computing topological invariants in the context of computer imagery. This workshop is intended not only for mathematicians but also for computer science engineers which combines topology, algebra, computation and digital image in their research.
