Abstract Harmonic Analysis Day
Abstract Harmonic Analysis, or Harmonic Analysis on Groups, is a discipline rooted in the classic theme of spectral analysis and synthesis of functions that identifies and exploits the relevance of the underlying group structure that pervades the whole theory through resentations and measures. Abstract Harmonic Analysis has grown a strong relationship with other neighboring disciplines such as Functional Analysis, Representation Theory or Group Theory.
Due to this mixed character, experts in Abstract Harmonic Analysis can often be found scattered among Research Groups with different flavours. Our intention with the celebration of this Day at IMAC is to bring together a group of researchers with interest in Abstract Harmonic Analysis to discuss different views and problems. The Day will consist of three or four lectures and a problem discussion session.
The following lecturers have already confirmed their participation:

Mahmoud Filali (Oulu University, Finland).

Luis Rodríguez-Piazza (Universidad de Sevilla, Spain).

Armando Villena (Universidad de Granada, Spain).

The deadline for registering is June 20. See http://www.ahaday-imac.uji.es for more information.
