Assistant / Associate Professor in algebra, geometry and mathematical physics (Tenure Track)

Tenure Track Position in Algebra, Geometry and Mathematical Physics. For this position we are looking for a candidate with excellent research qualities in algebra, geometry (in a broad sense) and/or mathematical physics. We are looking for a candidate who could either strengthen or complement the existing research directions in our research group (Lie Theory, Algebraic Geometry, Integrable Systems and the Mathematical Aspects of Quantum Field Theory), and further enhances the cohesion within our research group. The potential of a candidate to stimulate the collaboration between mathematics and physics, for example via a strong involvement with String Theory or with Quantum Matter, can also be viewed as an added value. We expect a candidate to play an active role in the research activities of the GQT-cluster and the national collaboration between the various research groups of the cluster.

The initial appointment will be for a period of five years. Based on performance indicators agreed on at the start of the appointment, a tenure track position will lead to a tenured position in a period of maximally 5 years. In the fifth year of the appointment the tenure decision will be taken.
