Applications are invited for the post of Assistant or Associate Professor at the Warwick Mathematics Institute. The successful candidate will participate in the vibrant and diverse activities in the mathematical sciences at the University of Warwick, and contribute to the EPSRC-funded Centre for Doctoral Training in Mathematics for Real-World Systems – the MathSys CDT.
The WMI has a strong track record in applied mathematics with world-leading research groups at the Zeeman Institute of Mathematical Biology and the Complexity Centre. The associated MathSys CDT comprises some 80+ graduate students focusing on the development of multiscale, machine-learning and hybrid modelling approaches in four broad application areas: mathematical biology, health and epidemiology, socio-technical systems and industrial optimisation. We warmly welcome applications from mathematicians working in these four areas or who are working at the interface of AI/ML applied to real-world problems.
The closing date is August 30th 2020.
