Research Officer Fixed-term contract for 10 months

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is looking to appoint a Research Officer who is experienced in probabilistic analysis and modelling. The role of the successful candidate will be to undertake research into enhancing our modeling and analysis of uncertainty in contract bidding.

The overall aim of the research is to offer information to decision makers, which illustrates the probability of winning the contract and the probability of making a profit for a particular price bid. The research is in partnership with Loughborough University, Rolls Royce Submarines, BAE Systems Australia, Maritime Services – BAE Systems and Military Air and Information – BAE Systems. You will be based at the University of Bath.
