Junior Professorships for Applied Mathematics, FAU-Erlangen

We seek to appoint high potential junior scientists with an internationally visible research profile in areas involving or related to partial differential equations, numerical and data analysis, control theory or scientific computing and a strong interest in teaching. Successful candidates are expected to have an internationally outstanding and broad research profile in current areas of research in some of the above fields. The research activities should strengthen the Chair of Applied Analysis at FAU (Alexander von Humboldt Professorship) and the potential of the institution in the broad field of Applied Mathematics. Candidates are also expected to have proven their skills in interdisciplinary cooperation and become actively involved in developing a new Center for Applied and Computational Mathematics and Data Sciences at FAU. The teaching duties include introductory and advanced lectures in applied mathematics.
