Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader in Mathematical Biology/Ecology

Lecturer / Senior Lecturer / Reader in Mathematical Ecology / Biology

This post has been created as part of an initiative to strengthen the interdisciplinary research currently underway between the School of Mathematics & Statistics and the Life Sciences within the University of Glasgow. It is expected that the postholder will pursue research in Mathematical Biology/Ecology, broadly interpreted, which complements that of the School’s Mathematical Biology Research Group and which contributes to this exciting agenda. Applications from researchers in mathematical ecology/epidemiology are particularly welcomed and preference may be given to this area.

The School’s world-class Mathematical Biology Research Group has strong research links with the internationally leading Life Sciences Institutes within the College of Medicine, Veterinary and Life Sciences at the University of Glasgow, including the Boyd Orr Centre for Population and Ecosystem Health (winner of a Queen’s Anniversary Prize 2013), the Institute for Biodiversity Animal Health and Comparative Medicine and the new British Heart Foundation Centre of Excellence in Vascular Science and Medicine.
