Ph.D. position for Applied Mathematics

The objective of the project is to analyze cross-diffusion systems arising in ion transport and population dynamics, including a global existence and large-time analysis. The Ph.D. candidate should have a diploma or master in Mathematics with a good knowledge in the mathematical analysis of partial differential equations. She/he is expected to be interested in applications from physics and/or biology. The salary is according to the standards of the Austrian Science Fund FWF, see http://www.fwf.ac.at/en/research-funding/personnel-costs. The starting date is January 01, 2015 or later.
