PhD Position in Geometric Analysis

The Analysis group at the Department of Mathematics at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) invites applications for a

PhD Position

under the supervision of Prof. Stefan Wenger. The successful candidate has a strong background in analysis and differential geometry. Familiarity with one of the following areas is an advantage: calculus of variations, geometric measure theory, analysis on metric spaces, metric geometry, sub-Riemannian geometry.

We offer a friendly and supportive environment, a competitive salary, and integration in the Swiss Doctoral Program in Mathematics. The position carries a moderate teaching load. A certain degree of fluency in German or French after a period of adaptation will be required.
