Development of Parallel-Adaptive Open Source Software for Diffusion Dominated Multi Field Processes
Job Description: We aim to develop and improve open source software infrastructure for parallel-adaptive nite element simulations on unstructured, conforming grids with main focus on diffusion dominated time-dependent and -independent multi eld processes. The implementation is based on DUNE and DUNE-FEM. The post is located at the Chair for High Performance Computing at the Institute for Applied Analysis and Numerical Simulation.
Job Requirement: We are looking for a PostDoc in Applied Mathematics or Computational Engineering with an excellent record both in the application of adaptive nite elements (elliptic and parabolic PDEs) and high performance computing. The position requires a sound mathematical understanding of adaptive methods as well as sophisticated programming skills with C++ on parallel platforms. The PostDoc is expected to participate actively in the EXC SimTech Teaching Programmes and Industry Transfer Concepts.
Pay Scale: The position with designated salary bracket TV-L 13 has a limited tenure of two years with a possible extension.
