The Faculty of Engineering and Environment is passionate about the principles and applications of Science, Engineering and Technology in all its forms and strives to be excellent in research, teaching and innovation.

We seek to appoint a high-calibre individual with an excellent international reputation and leadership experience in the area of Mathematics. The department has particular strengths in the mathematics of complex and nonlinear phenomena, as well as solar magnetohydrodynamics and applied statistics. Excellent candidates in the mathematics of complex and nonlinear phenomena are particularly encouraged to apply though we will consider high-quality applications in any area of Mathematics.

You must hold a first degree and be qualified to Doctoral level in a relevant discipline and have leading subject expertise in Mathematics with specialist knowledge gained through research activity, professional practice or consultancy. Proven ability to deliver high quality research led teaching within an appropriate field and a publication profile commensurate with the post of Professor/Associate Professor are essential.
