# RESEARCH FELLOW IN STOCHASTIC MODELLING

Salary: $66,809 -$90,657 p.a. (Level A PhD entry level \$84,458 p.a.) plus 9.5% superannuation. Fixed term position for 3 years.

This postdoctoral research position is funded by the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Mathematical and Statistical Frontiers, CE140100049, under the supervision of Professor Peter Taylor.

The appointee will be expected to have a PhD in a field related to the program. The ability to develop mathematical models, prove theoretical results and devise computational procedures is essential. Specific expertise in applied probability will be highly-valued, but applicants who can bring skills in control engineering, computational mathematics or mathematical physics, and are willing to apply them to the analysis of stochastic models will also be welcomed.

The incumbent must have good oral and written communication skills in English and a positive attitude to working with practitioners in the application areas.
