The Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1283 Taming uncertainty and profiting from randomness and low regularity in analysis, stochastics and their applications” offers a part-time
starting as soon as possible (E13 TV-L, non-permanent position)
The successful candidate will work on research questions in the CRC project A4 “Measure concentration and information distances” on problems of high dimensional probability and in particular concentration of measure. - university degree in mathematics (e. g. Diploma or Master) with focus on stochastics
- good knowledge of English
- ability to communicate and to do research in a team
- independent, self-reliant and dedicated style of work
- strong organizational and coordination skills
Salary will be paid according to Remuneration level 13 of the Wage Agreement for Public Service in the Federal States (TV-L). As stipulated in §2 (1) sentence 1 of the WissZeitVG(fixed-term employment), the contract will end on June 30th, 2021. In accordance with the provisions of the WissZeitVGand the Agreement on Satisfactory Conditions of Employment, the length of contract may differ in individual cases. The employment is designed to encourage further academic qualification. The position is advertised as 75 % part-time job. In individual cases, this percentage may be reduced on request, as long as this does not conflict with official needs.
