research position
starting as soon as possible
(E13 TV-L, non-permanent position)

Your Tasks
The research group of Prof. Erbarworks in the field of analysis with tight connections to probability and geometry and focuses in particular on interacting particle systems, associated partial differential equations, optimal transport, as well as analysis and geometry on singular spaces. The main responsibilities are:
- research in a. m. field (65 %)
- teaching duties to the extent of 4 LVS (25 %)
- collaboration in academic self-administration and general university administration (10 %)

Your Profile
We expect
- scientific academic degree (Master, Diploma or equivalent) in mathematics or another relevant subject (e. g. physics, economics)
- good PHD in mathematics or another relevant subject (e. g. physics, economics)
- very good spoken and written English skills
- independent, cooperative and team-oriented work ethic
- responsible and committed work attitude

Preferable qualifications
- research experience in the a. m. area
- experience in international cooperation
- experience with tutorials in mathematics, also in Bachelor area

Remuneration
Salary will be paid according to Remuneration level 13 of the Wage Agreement for Public Service in the Federal States (TV-L). As stipulated in §2 (1) sentence 2 of the WissZeitVG(fixed-term employment), the contract will end after three years. In accordance with the provisions of the WissZeitVGand the Agreement on Satisfactory Conditions of Employment, the length of contract may differ in individual cases. The employment is designed to encourage further academic qualification. In principle, this full-time position may be changed into a part-time position, as long as this does not conflict with official needs.
