Changes in European Research organisation: EUROHORCS dissolved, ESF downsized, ScienceEurope founded

The organization of European funding agencies has undergone important changes recently:
The assembly of heads of European research funding organizations EUROHORCS has been dissolved by October, 20.
The range of activities of the European Science Foundation will be dramatically reduced during the coming years, in particular Research Networking Programmes will no longer be funded via the ESF.
Both organizations will, in some sense, be replaced by the newly established organization ScienceEurope, with six scientific committees, among them a committee for physical, chemical and mathematical sciences, including material sciences.
