The World Heritage Digital Mathematics Library symposium was held at the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) in Washington, DC, on June 1-3, 2012, sponsored by the the International Mathematical Union (IMU)'s Committee on Electronic Information and Communication (CEIC). The purpose of the symposium was to bring together a select group of experts to consult on the ongoing goal of a World Digital Mathematics Library (WDML), assess the requirements for its realization, discuss the progress made to date, and pinpoint significant challenges that remain to be overcome.
