Assaf Naor, Princeton University, has been awarded the 2018 Frederic Esser Nemmers Mathematics Prize for "his profound work on the geometry of metric spaces, which has led to breakthroughs in the theory of algorithms." The prize carries with it a cash award of US$200,000.
