Transcendental Dynamics and Complex Analysis
Transcendental dynamics is a research subject on the borderline between the theory of dynamical systems and classical analysis in the complex domain. Coming from the pioneering works of Fatou and Julia almost a hundred years ago, and having obtained a strong impetus since the advent of modern computers in the last quarter of the previous century, it remains an active research area. This book, aimed primarily at specialists, gathers together 16 contributions covering the up-to-date state of knowledge of the topic. The volume is dedicated to Noel Baker (1932-2001), who was one of the leading figures of the theory over many decades.
